Everybody knows that I love to complete very special random acts of kindness for very special people, and for this month I have chosen to give out my RAOK to some people that may seem invisible to others simply because they live out of sight – people in nursing homes. My grandma stayed in a nursing home for the last of her years and so that is another reason why I thought it would be nice to give out September’s random act to the citizens of a local nursing home. To keep my anonymity, I pre-decided to hand my gifts over to the nurse so that she could give them out to the people that she thought would love them most. Once I arrived at the nursing home, it felt a bit like a great big puzzle maze because there were different coloured buttons we had to press and massive doors we had to pull and push…to be honest it felt a bit like an intelligence test! Thankfully I passed!! When I finally walked through the last door, the reception nurse saw me and a big warm smile came to her face. I explained what I had made and why and she responded with a mix of appreciation and sorrow in her voice, telling me that some residents don’t get a lot of visitors and some residents don’t get any visitors at all, so they would appreciate my present even more! It made me feel indescribably happy that she knew exactly who might need them most.
My gifts included a mini easel each with thirteen handmade quote cards that could be changed daily. I also selected a hanging wicker heart for all of my gifts and a sentimental foam superhero to remind the recipients of their super brave hearts.
To learn more about the nine packages I made there is a really short video below that explains everything, but I will say that I added a hint of FZ by glitterising a couple of things in my gift. I also have a picture of my note that I wrote just under the video, so I hope you enjoy watching this little clip of photos of me making and delivering this month’s random act of kindness!
I always like to remind myself that:

FZ out!! 🙂
I am so so sorry I have missed a few random acts of kindness but it was definitely only because of illness. I am feeling a lot better now, so this post is about June’s RAOK. I have made a little movie that explains each step for creating the act of kindness I chose. I decided to print out my favourite quotes and pack them into a small box…but I won’t tell you too much because the movie says it all! Just remember, a random act can be big or small.
In the words of Ellen DeGeneres, “Be kind to one another!”
I have followed an amazing blogger, Christine Barba- Project Light to Life, that always does nice things for people and the world. I wanted to do one of those good deeds by sending a nice quote and letter to random people all over Australia. Christine Barba is such a good person and has inspired me to do the same good deeds. I loaded up White Pages Residential (but you can use the phone book if you want) and typed in random surnames and a State or Territory. It comes up with lots of names of people in that State or Territory. I scrolled down while having my eyes closed and stopped it with my finger. I sent a quote and letter to the person my finger landed on. With the quotes, I found them on the internet, pasted them on a word document, printed them out, laminated each page, cut them out and stuck magnets on the back. I attached magnets on so that people could stick their quotes wherever they wanted and see it everyday. I am hoping that the quotes will make everybody feel really happy inside! It is so easy and fun, and makes you think of all the people’s lives you could be touching. You could even change the way they think, you never know. But I am sure that people will appreciate the effort that I have put into these. You can make as many as you like, and just remember the whole way through you’re making them that everybody you are sending them to will be so excited to find them in their mailboxes!
I have made 14 notes and quotes and drew a special picture for each one. (Each picture was different to another.)

Would you like to know how to create a positive mind on a negative day? The FZ production attached always makes me feel good, and keeps me going, so maybe it will do the same for you too!
This movie is full of my favourite quotes. I created it a little while ago, so I can’t remember where I got all the images from. I teamed it with Katy Perry’s Firework, and it always gives me good thoughts. I would love it if you’d leave a message below and let me know what you think.
